JC Pro Design Acquires Small Lake City Promo
The owner of the purchased firm, Collin Wilkinson, is joining JC as outside sales manager.
Two Utah-based promo companies are joining forces.
Murray, UT-headquartered JC Pro Design, a custom print shop that offers in-house screen printing and embroidery in addition to promotional products and other solutions, has entered into an agreement to acquire Draper-UT based distributor Small Lake City Promo.
Financial terms of the deal between the privately held companies were not released.
Collin Wilkinson, the former owner of Small Lake City Promo, has joined JC Pro Design as outside sales manager.
JC Pro Design owner Justin Leader called the deal a win-win.
“Bringing Collin on will not only help our customers get a more personal experience; it is also bringing someone in with a lot of experience in the promotional product field,” he said.
Leader asserted that Small Lake City clients will benefit too because they will “now have access to more in-house production equipment, and more individual attention.”
Mergers & acquisitions in the #promoproducts market can have ripple effects across the industry. While M&A decreased in the second half of 2023, indications are it stands to pick up again.

Is M&A in Promo Poised To Rebound in 2024? https://t.co/3QW8R6Z6Xk @asicentral
JC Pro Design launched in 2016 and serves the Salt Lake City metro area and surrounding environs. Beyond custom-branded apparel and promotional products, the firm creates signs, vehicle wraps, banners, trade show booths and other marketing materials. Wilkinson founded Small Lake City Promo in 2017.
Mergers and acquisitions cooled off in the latter half of 2023 in the promotional products industry – and the global marketplace more broadly. Still, M&A experts believe acquisition activity is poised to pick up in 2024 in promo and beyond.
