Eden Prairie, MN-based supplier Ball Pro (asi/38120) announced that it has acquired Normal, IL-based supplier Diversified-Adtee (asi/50051). Financial terms of the agreement were not released.

“Ball Pro has been looking for product lines the past few years to broaden our offerings,” said Tim Hanson, president of Ball Pro, in a press release. “Diversified-Adtee sells quality kitchenware and golf products. The golf products fit nicely into Ball Pro’s current offerings. Golfers, more than ever, are looking for products such as drink wear, steak knives, grill sets and other kitchen products they can use daily.”

Diversified-Adtee President Kevin Mulrooney will be joining Ball Pro as vice president of sales. While Mulrooney will continue to reside in Illinois, Diversified-Adtee’s equipment and inventory have already been moved to Ball Pro’s facilities in Minnesota. Both companies will be one exhibit booth at ASI Orlando next week.

Founded in 1988, Diversified-Adtee began as a specialty tool and golf supplier and has expanded to focus on kitchenware as well. Mulrooney, one of the firm’s original employees, purchased the company in 2012. Meanwhile, Ball Pro began as a decorator of golf balls and has expanded its product line to include brands like Titleist, Callaway and Bridgestone GloveBranders, among others.
