Skullcandy is a popular lifestyle brand inspired by music and board sports.
Leed’s (asi/66887), a subsidiary of Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA; asi/78897), will now offer a selection of Skullcandy headphones and wireless earbuds to the promotional products industry. It’s thanks to a new partnership between Leed’s and Skullcandy that was announced on Monday, Jan. 6.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us,” said Scott Farnsworth, national sales and retail marketing manager for Skullcandy, a Park City, UT-based company that designs, markets, and globally distributes audio products through a variety of distribution channels, with international offices in Tokyo, Zurich, London, Shenzhen and Vancouver. “With Leed’s, we’ve found a partner with the outstanding customer service and decorating expertise needed to bring our products to the promo channel. We are excited to offer co-branding opportunities on some of our most popular headphones.”
Leed’s is introducing eight Skullcandy models in January 2020, with two more scheduled for February. The initial offering includes the Sesh True Wireless Earbuds (7196-01), the Venue Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones (7196-02) and the Jib+ Active Wireless Earbuds (7196-05). All are available now on the Leed’s website, www.pcna.com/leeds.
“We are thrilled to partner with such a dynamic brand,” said Liz Haesler, PCNA’s chief merchandising officer. “In terms of combining innovation and design with lifestyle, Skullcandy is an absolute leader. This partnership allows our distributors to provide their customers with incredible products from one of the best retail audio brands in the world.”
Skullcandy is a popular lifestyle brand inspired by music and board sports. The company operates on the mantra, “We don’t want you to listen to music. We want you to feel it.” To that end, Skullcandy has driven innovation in audio technology, executives say. Meanwhile, the Leed’s product line includes everything from pens and drinkware, to bags and mobile tech. Leed’s has an in-house product development team, and offers dozens of retail brands.
With reported North American promotional product revenue of $654.1 million, PCNA ranked fourth on Counselor’s latest list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
