Cap America Promotes Gerald Pinkley to VP of Compliance
The Top 40 supplier says Pinkley has already done transformative work on Environmental, Social & Governance initiatives, and that his promotion signifies the firm’s pursuit of excellence on corporate social responsibility/sustainability.
Since joining Top 40 supplier Cap America (asi/43792), Gerald Pinkley has made a big impact.
Under his direction, the Fredericktown, MO-based supplier has achieved what executives said is remarkable progress on Environmental, Social & Governance initiatives (ESG), including ESG standardization, transparent reporting and regulatory compliance.
Refined product safety protocols, in-depth environmental impact assessments, and practices that aim to lessen carbon footprint have been put into play under Pinkley.
Now, Cap America is recognizing Pinkley’s strong work, promoting him to vice president of compliance.
In the new role, Pinkley’s primary charge is to continue driving the company’s sustainability and compliance initiatives. Genuine sustainability – centered, in part, on lessening operational impact on the planet and bringing to market products made with more eco-friendly materials – has been one of the major mass movements in promo in recent years, driven in part by end-buyer demand.
“Gerald's influence in integrating robust ESG practices into our corporate framework has been transformative. As we navigate our sustainability journey, his visionary leadership is crucial in establishing and achieving new operational paradigms.” Marc Gammon, Cap America
Cap America CEO Mark Gammon said the elevation of Pinkley represents the company’s commitment to attaining the highest operating standards when it comes to ESG.
“Gerald's influence in integrating robust ESG practices into our corporate framework has been transformative,” Gammon said. “As we navigate our sustainability journey, his visionary leadership is crucial in establishing and achieving new operational paradigms.”
Pinkley joined Cap America five years ago as a market development manager and was later promoted to director of administration. He’s been exceptional, the company said, at spearheading collaboration across departments and driving operational efficiencies.
Beyond achievements already mentioned, Pinkley has done a stellar job working closely with human resources to build an inclusive and diverse workplace culture, executives said.
“Pinkley's promotion is more than a new chapter in his professional story,” said Gammon. “It signifies Cap America's relentless pursuit of excellence in corporate responsibility and ethical governance.”
Based on reported 2022 North American promotional products revenue of $76.8 million, Cap America ranked 23rd on Counselor’s most recent list of the larges suppliers in the industry.
