The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled about 1,700 ZORJAR brand women’s fashion scarves. The scarves, which were made in China and sold on Amazon.com, fail to meet the federal flammability standard for clothing textiles, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers, the CPSC said. To date no injuries have been reported and no ASI-listed firms were named in the recall notice. The scarves were sold from February 2015 through May 2017 for between $23 and $25.

The recalled scarves measure about 43 inches long by 70 inches wide and weigh 0.5 ounces per square yard. They also each have either a gold or silver metal tassel attached to the corner of them. The scarves, which were sold in 26 colors including yellow, wine red, rose, coffee, and light purple, have a small black side seam label stating “100% silk.” On Amazon, the scarves were sold as “ZORJAR Women Beautiful Solid Color 100% Pure Silk Thin Long Shawl Wrap Scarf.”

The CSPC is asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled scarves and contact ZORJAR for a full refund. ZORJAR is also directly contacting consumers who have purchased the scarves, the CPSC said.
