Top 40 distributor Geiger (asi/202900) announced Tuesday that David Kennealey won the Maine-based firm’s Chairman’s Club Award for his outstanding achievement in Corporate Programs, while the company’s Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Region earned Division of the Year. Both Kennealey and the Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic division were recognized for their achievements during the Geiger Galleria, an annual professional education event and tradeshow held in Phoenix this year from July 12-15^th.

Speaking about Kennealey, Geiger officials said the promo pro’s creativity, humor, product knowledge, customer-first focus and collaborative nature empowered him to substantially grow his corporate program business. “When we considered the winners of this award, David was the clear recipient. I fully expect David will receive the award again in years ahead,” said Chris McKee, Vice President of Corporate Programs. “David goes above and beyond to share his knowledge and give top rate service.”

In addition to taking home the honor, Kennealey also co-created and presented an educational class during the Galleria entitled “Fight Club.” Geiger executives said that was just one of the interesting aspects of the successful Galleria, which drew approximately 350 sales representatives, suppliers and employees. Activities included motivational/educational presentations from CEO Gene Geiger and CIO Dale Denham; group professional development classes; and an entertaining, motivational speech from Rita Davenport, an award-winning keynote speaker, author and humorist. Attendees also gained valuable insights walking the tradeshow floor.
