Recall On Children’s Sleepwear
The pajamas fail to meet federal flammability standards.
In a Nutshell
*New York-based Allura Imports recalled about 64,000 units of the sleepwear in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
*While the sleepwear poses a burn hazard, no injuries were reported.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall on children’s sleepwear from New York-based Allura Imports because the garments fall short of meeting federal flammability standards. While the pajamas pose a burn risk to wearers, the CPSC said that no injuries have been reported. “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled sleepwear, take it away from children and contact Allura for a full refund,” the CPSC said in a statement.
This onesie was among the recalled sleepwear items.
According to the CPSC, two styles of children’s sleepwear garments are involved in the recall. One is a 100% polyester fleece pajama pant with the brand name “Sweet N Sassy” on the waist label and hang tag. The style number is located on the back of the brand label at the center waist. Meanwhile, the second garment is a 95% polyester/ 5% spandex onesie with long-sleeves. It features a hood and front zipper with the brand name “Delia’s Girl” at the neck label and hang tag. The style number is located on the back of the brand label at the neck.

Consumers could also purchase the pajamas online at Amazon.com, CookiesKids.com, CrazyforBargains.com, Sophiasstyle.com and other websites. Manufactured in China and imported/distributed by Allura Imports, the sleepwear was for sale from September 2017 to April 2018 for between $8 and $13. In all, about 64,000 units sold, the CPSC said.
