Google Now Providing Business Stickers, Posters & More
The offerings come through a new service that’s tied to Google My Business.
Google My Business is launching a new suite of features, one of which includes providing select offline physical marketing materials through a Marking Kit website.
Printable posters, signs, stickers and table tents are among the offerings available through the Marketing Kit site, which also focuses on assets like free custom social posts.
Google describes the site as a place where businesses can “easily download and order custom assets for their place--like stickers--to help promote bookings on the profile, adding reviews and customer following.”
Announced June 20th, other new features for Google My Business center on the web. They include allowing businesses to reward customers who follow their business on Google with “welcome offers” in the form of discounts and deals – a move aimed at generating engagement and loyalty.
Additionally, business owners can now claim a short name and URL for their companies that refer prospects/customers back to their My Business profile. Within a few months, people will be able to use these shortened names to locate businesses through Google Maps.
Other new offerings include: The ability for a business to add a logo to its profile, to upload photos that are then displayed on the profile (captions coming soon), and to set a profile cover photo.
