AIA Corporation (AIA, asi/109480) announced the appointment of six new members to its Owner Advisory Council (OAC). The council serves to represent the greater AIA Owner Community, ensuring owners’ best interests are recognized and prioritized. Incoming OAC members are Larry Arntz of Arntz Promotions, Tom Bagli of AIA Bluestone, Beth Brackett of Imagewear Promotions, Kimberly Karp of KK Promotions, Debbee Poche of Promotions ‘N Motion and Jerry Milwit of Dominion Promotions.
Charles River Apparel (asi/44620) recently recognized three employees during the company’s 30th Annual National Sales Meeting. Kelly Connolly was named Charles River Sales Representative of the Year, Scott Hareid was named the Multi-Line Sales Representative of the Year and Mario Leavell received the Susan de Vries Award. The award is named after Susan de Vries (Lipsett), who was the sister of Barry Lipsett (Owner & CEO) and daughter of Walter Lipsett (company founder). Susan tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2006 and is one of the main inspirations behind the Charles River Cares program.
HanesBrands (asi/59528) and the Pac-12 teamed up to care for the homeless in Seattle during the athletic association’s Sustainability Conference, which was held this week at the University of Washington. HanesBrands sponsored a three-hour event that sought to help educate participants about homelessness in America, and to give them an opportunity to engage with and bring comfort to part of the local community that needs it most.
Crystal D (asi/47759) donated six awards to the Lifeworks Annual Celebration held at The Depot in Minneapolis on April 25. Lifeworks Services is an organization that supports individuals with disabilities in Minnesota. The Lifeworks Annual Celebration serves as a fundraiser for the organization as well as a celebration of people with disabilities and those who support them.
Harland Clarke (asi/219943) has been recognized as the Best Outsourcing Provider by the International Customer Management Institute (ICMI) as part of its Global Contact Center Awards program.
Proforma’s (asi/300094) senior leadership team recently met with the Proforma Owner Advisory Council Technology Committee to celebrate exceeding 1,000 users on its new ProVision Business Management System.
Custom Logos (asi/173183) named Elizabeth Scott of ETS Express (asi/51197) its 2018 Supplier Rep of the Year.
Stouse (asi/89910) launched a new website platform to give customers a faster, easier way to order printed products.
AIA Corporation (asi/109480) hosted the first in an ongoing series of sales training events in Chicago last month, providing new sales associates with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the promotional products industry.

HanesBrands (asi/59528) set up a Hanes Comfort Zone during the CMA Festival in Nashville for attendees to create custom T-shirts. The Music is LifeT-shirt was specially designed for the festival to celebrate a new collaboration between Hanes and the CMA Foundation to support music education.
Royal Apparel (asi/83731) announced it will maintain its 2018 prices through the end of 2019.
The Murphy Group (asi/72743), a supplier of custom imported products, is officially changing ownership on Thursday, June 13, 2019. President Mike Hershey is becoming the owner of the company, which will be newly named The Hershey Group. The Hershey Group contact points will remain the same. Emails/domains will mirror for a seamless transition. “Our company focus is on timely communication, competitive pricing and compliant/quality products delivered on time,” said Hershey. “Nothing will change within the company other than the ownership and company name. We look forward to continuing business with our valued customers, as well as growing our client base through healthy relationships focused on smooth import projects.”
Navitor (asi/81500) added announcements to the company’s online spot-printed product offering. Spot-color announcements are available in five different sizes printed on ecru or white. One- and two-color printing options are available as well.
Quinn (asi/80228) recently hosted a barbecue for all its team members who made its 25th anniversary year successful.
The Arizona Promotional Products Association (AzPPA) recently hosted a fundraising event for a class at Palo Verde Middle School in Phoenix as part of its family fun event. The event collected more than $300 in cash donations for the class, along with 100 drawstring backpacks holding an assortment of crayons, markers, pencils, pencil cases, journal books, binders, toothbrushes, sports balls, etc., all donated by generous suppliers and distributors in the promotional products industry.
