Top 40 supplier Sweda Co. (asi/90305) has promoted David Jackson to vice president of technology, after serving six years as director of information technology.

“David has made continuous technology improvements to our infrastructure that have stabilized our platform and given us the tools to help us manage our business better each and every day,” said Jim Hagan, Sweda CEO.

Prior to joining Sweda, Jackson worked in executive technical operations in manufacturing, distribution and law firms in Los Angeles and Orange County. He had career stops as the director of information technology at E.B. Bradley Co. and in information technology operations at Exemplis Corp. He also was an instructor at Coastline Community College and other local colleges, teaching IT courses for more than 11 years.

In his spare time, Jackson enjoys photography, golf, filmmaking and woodworking.

Sweda ranks 14th in Counselor’s listing of Top 40 suppliers, with 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $100.8 million. The new rankings are due out in July.
