Gemline Extends Partnership with Moleskine
Top 40 supplier Gemline (asi/56070) said Monday that it’s extending its long-term partnership with Moleskine – the Milan, Italy-headquartered lifestyle brand that provides planners, notebooks, journals, bags, writing instruments and more.
Per terms of the partnership, Gemline will continue to be the exclusive supplier of Moleskine within the promotional products industry in the U.S. and Canada. The Lawrence, MA-based supplier said that demand for Moleskine’s distinguished objects and collections has increased considerably since the partnership began in September 2013.
“We have experienced significant growth with Moleskine in the past five and a half years, an iconic brand which we admire for its heritage as well as its creative and innovative vision,” said Gemline President Jonathan Isaacson. “Moleskine has proven to be an invaluable addition to our product assortment and we look forward to the continued success of this partnership.”
Moleskine was created as a brand in 1997, bringing back to life the nameless black notebooks used by writers and artists like Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin that had long gone out of print. Today, the Moleskine brand encompasses a family of objects that enhance productivity and creativity including notebooks, diaries, and planners, journals, bags, writing instruments, reading accessories, publishing and digital tools. The Moleskine brand is a worldwide presence thanks to over 80 Moleskine Stores and the innovative retail concept, the Moleskine Café.
The home office in Milan, Italy includes wholly-owned subsidiaries, Moleskine America, Inc. (established in 2008), Moleskine France (2013), Moleskine Germany (2013) and Moleskine Asia Ltd (2011), which controls Moleskine Shanghai and Moleskine Singapore, and Moleskine Japan (2018).

With reported 2017 North American promotional product revenue of $99.8 million, Gemline ranks 16th on Counselor’s latest list of the largest suppliers in the industry. The firm’s line includes bags, business accessories, stationery, gifts and writing instruments.
