SnugZ USA Partners With Draft Top
As seen on Shark Tank, Draft Top enables users to remove can tops with a twist or two, allowing for what proponents say is a better drinking experience.
An invention that quickly and safely removes the tops of aluminum beverage cans for what proponents say is a more pleasurable drinking experience is now available in the promotional products industry through Top 40 supplier SnugZ USA (asi/88060).
The West Jordan, UT-based company said Thursday, March 17, that it had entered into an exclusive partnership with Draft Top to launch the brand’s unique bar tool in the promo space.
Featured on the popular show Shark Tank where it secured an investment from “shark” Daymond John, Draft Top allows users to remove can tops with a twist or two, leaving a smooth drink-safe edge. With four rotational blades, Draft Top splits and folds the lid as it turns.
President/Founder Armand Ferranti said the brand had previously made forays into promo on projects for high-profile beverage brands, but that partnering with SnugZ will allow Draft Top to scale considerably in the space.
“Draft Top offers a truly unique experience for consumers to enjoy drinking from cans, and it’s backed by sensory perception science,” said Ferranti. “With so many great quality beverages coming in cans today, your clients won’t go back to drinking from cans the old way again.”
SnugZ’s Chief Revenue Officer Brittany David, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people, emphasized that SnugZ will be the exclusive supplier and decorator for Draft Top in promo. She thinks the product is poised to be a hit.
“Draft Top is creative, fun and unique, and our industry is ripe for new ideas and marketing material that lives on,” David said. “The innovative design, opportunity in the marketplace and cheeky marketing make Draft Top a lifestyle product that elevates the experience of getting together and enjoying a beverage.”
David noted that a SnugZ customer – distributor sales pro Angie Millonzi of 3Tree Marketing (asi/344537) – was essential to making the connection between SnugZ and Draft Top. The introduction came after Draft Top connected with 3Tree through one of the distributorship’s existing clients with a goal of expanding Draft Top’s reach.
“3tree has decades of experience and strong relationships within the industry, so the obvious thought was connecting with a leader and strategic partner in SnugZ to leverage overall visibility,” Millonzi said. “We felt SnugZ was the ideal partner.”
SnugZ USA has been busy in 2022.
In early January, the firm acquired fellow Top 40 supplier Sweda Company (asi/90305). A few weeks later, SnugZ debuted Swagar, an augmented-reality product experience that enables users to view and interact with a digital representation of a product in the real world through a smartphone or tablet.
Based on reported 2020 North American promo products revenue of $52.1 million, SnugZ USA ranked 27th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
