ASB Appoints Gordon Klepec to VP Position
Klepec is the Top 40 distributorship’s new regional vice president of strategic operations support.
Gordon Klepec says he’s ready to help promo pros accelerate their sales.
The industry veteran is going to get a chance to do just that in his new role with Top 40 distributor American Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075).
The Minnesota-headquartered firm just named Klepec to the position of regional vice president of strategic operations support.
In the VP position, Klepec will help ASB sales associates in business development and strategic opportunities. Working on a regional and national level, he’ll assist in qualifying opportunities, preparing for large customer presentations, and providing consultation in business planning and prospect planning.
“I’m very happy to have Gordon on our team,” said Amy Spychalla, vice president of strategic operations support. “Gordon understands our industry from many different angles and will bring a fresh perspective to help ASB and all our stakeholders grow to the next level.”
Prior to joining ASB, Klepec was chief sales officer at distributorship SOLV (asi/229304) for four years. Prior to that, he spent nearly 14 years with Wright Business Graphics, a printing solutions provider, in the role of vice president of sales and marketing.
“I’m excited for my new role and having the awesome opportunity to work for American,” said Klepec. “I’ve always had the greatest respect for ASB, its leadership and associates. Everyone is always authentic, professional and easy to work with.”
Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $273.6 million, American Solutions for Business ranked 12th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry. Founded in 1981, ASB is an employee-owned company.
In January, the firm announced the acquisition of Spartan Promotional Group (asi/331150) – an Oakdale, MN-based distributorship with 66 team members and a near 60-year history. ASB has also launched a new division, headed by a former Nike sales pro, to expand business in the team sports and golf markets.
