Alvin “Al” Badiner, sales representative at Spartan Promotional Products (asi/331150), passed away on May 1. He was 91.

Badiner was a resident of St. Louis Park, MN, a long-time member of the promotional products industry and a dear friend of Al and Phyllis Hohenwald, owners of Spartan Promotional Products. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lena Badiner; sister Ruthie (Leonard) Brawerman; brother Ben (Anita) Badiner; and grandson Adriel Badiner.

He is survived by Eileen, his wife of 50 years; sons Bill (Candy) Badiner, Jim (Leslie) Badiner and Rick (Beth) Badiner; daughter Nancy (Jay) Charney; Eileen’s children Evan (Trish) Niefeld, Daniel Niefeld and Jon Niefeld (Diane Urista); grandchildren David (Rebecca) Badiner, Jessica Badiner, J.P. Todd and Jaclyn Charney, Liana and David Badiner, Sam and Jake Niefeld, John (Joell) Adams and Drew (Rachel) Adams; a great-grandson Badiner is on his way; and special friend Kofi Boadu. Son Rick Badiner is the executive vice president of Top 40 distributor iPROMOTEu (asi/232119).

“How fortunate his friends were to be ‘a friend of Al Badiner,’” said the family in a statement. “He will forever be in our hearts.”
