Gill Studios Announces New Top Executives
Kansas-based Top 40 supplier Gill Studios (asi/56950) has named Jamie Fain as its new president/CEO and Mike Malinowski as its VP of sales, the company announced. Fain is replacing Paul Lage, who left Gill to become president at Top 40 supplier IMAGEN Brands.
“I’ve been very fortunate to work with many of the best people in the industry here at Gill Studios,” said Fain. “They’ve prepared me well. I look forward to serving in this position and helping continue the legacy of Gill Studios.”
Fain has served at Gill for the last 25 years, most recently holding the position of executive VP of finance and administration. “Jamie will be a terrific CEO for Gill Studios. His years with the company have provided him priceless insights into every operation, every program, every opportunity, and every challenge associated with Gill Studios,” said Mark Gilman, the firm’s chairman of the board. “In addition, he is well known to all his colleagues and is highly trusted by them. I am very happy that the board of directors has decided to place the reins of leadership in Jamie’s hands.”
Meanwhile, Malinowski began his career at Gill in 1984 as an estimator in the pricing department. In 1993, he was named the company’s Western region sales manager and in 2010 he became director of sales. “I’m excited for the opportunity to expand our presence, providing award-winning solutions for our customers, and to strategize future brand growth,” Malinowski said.
In its most recent listing, Counselor ranked Gill as the 29th largest supplier in the industry after the firm reported 2016 North American promotional products sales of $56.1 million. New rankings will be released in July.
