Champion Ink Merges With Total Ink Solutions
Through more than 55 years of business, Champion Ink Company has built a reputation as a leader in plastisol ink manufacturing.
Now, the New Jersey company aims to continue that tradition as part of Hackensack, NJ-based Total Ink Solutions.
On May 7, Total Ink announced a definitive merger agreement that company leaders say keeps Champion Ink “alive as part of the Total Ink Solutions family to continue growing the legacy of both brands.”
“This merger is great for both companies,” said Luis Uribe, president of Total Ink Solutions, which develops and sells high-quality screen-printing inks. “We’ll be able to leverage the relationships of the Champion Ink Company, while infusing the convenience of tech-based solutions to provide everything customers in the screen-printing space need. I’m excited by the opportunities this new, combined company will achieve.”
The new company offers screen-printing ink, and screen-printing and vinyl equipment, tools and accessories. It also offers education in screen printing, digital printing and heat transfer. In addition, Total Ink Solutions offers its Total Ink Studio. This feature provides automation in the form of a fully customizable website, online product designer, e-commerce and shopping cart subscription product for customers.
Uribe founded Total Ink Solutions in 2011. Champion was founded in 1964. Ray Czorniewy bought Champion in 1992. He owned and operated it until the just-announced merger.
Under the terms of the agreement, the staff of Champion Ink will remain part of the organization, continuing to mix ink for existing Champion Ink customers, with all inks and manufacturing equipment handled at the main facility in Hackensack, N.J.
