Eight industry leaders served as “teachers” to a classroom of their peers on April 28 and 29. Drawing on their years of experience, each presented a topic based on obstacles encountered and accomplishments achieved, so those in attendance could learn from each other’s mistakes and successes. Topics included improving profitability, simplifying and focusing your business, and driving organizational change.

For example, Jill Haspert, CEO of Foxtrot Marketing Group (asi/170720), discussed reimagining one’s business. “If you had $1 million dollars of fun money given to you to reimagine any aspect of your business, what would it be?” Haspert asked. “You’ll find, as you work through the answer, that these are the things we are tolerating. These are often the frustrating areas we let happen because that’s how it’s always been done.”

In addition to Haspert, presenters included Joe McEuen, owner of MyBrandPromo (asi/257837).; James Greaves, CEO of Brand Makers (asi/145117); Brian Porter, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Starline (asi/89320); Enrique Perez, president of Hitex Marketing Group (asi/515762); Karlyne Eygendaal, COO of Gorilla Marketing (asi/212051); Steve DeBoer, CFO of Midwest Promotional Group (asi/270800); and Brian Katers, president of Promotional Designs (asi/300762).
