John Michael Associates Inc. (JMA, asi/234950), a promotional products distributor based in Newington, CT, has acquired fellow Connecticut-based distributor Creative Concepts Promotional Marketing (CC Promos). Financial terms of the deal were not released.

CC Promos’ team, along with former owner Jim Cantoni, will come under the JMA brand. JMA’s current operational and organizational structure will remain the same.

“Jim and CC Promos is a great business to bring under the JMA umbrella as it exemplifies years of great service predicated by strong relationships,” said JMA CEO Sara Papa.

Cantoni said, “It was very important to me to join an organization that has the same guiding principles and service level that I have provided my clients over the years. I am confident that JMA is the right fit.”

JMA is a woman-owned enterprise that has been in business for 41 years. In addition to providing merchandise solutions that executives say enhance clients’ brand messaging, JMA has also delved deeply into personal protective equipment (PPE) to help meet society’s demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March 2020, JMA founded DistinctiveMed, a sister company that has sourced and delivered millions of units of PPE items.
