Goldstar Promotes Duggan, Baumgardner and Hokanson
It’s been a busy time for the supplier, which also recently announced a new global web domain/enhanced website.
The news keeps coming out of Goldstar (asi/73295).
The San Diego-headquartered supplier of writing instruments, drinkware and bags has just promoted Charles Duggan, Rob Baumgardner and Lane Hokanson.
The announcement comes on the heels of Goldstar launching a new unified global web domain with enhanced features and integrations between its North American and European businesses.
The promotions are as follows:
Charles Duggan, Counselor’s 2020 Supplier Salesperson of the Year, is now Goldstar’s vice president of sales for North America. A 30-plus year industry veteran, Duggan will lead the development and execution of corporate strategic goals for the North American market field sales and national account teams.
“Throughout his eight years with Goldstar, Charles is noted for crafting a masterful art of helping distributors simplify their sales strategies through education and a whole lot of creativity,” Goldstar said in a statement.
Lane Hokanson has risen to the role of global marketing manager. Going forward, she’ll oversee marketing strategies for Goldstar’s North American and European operations. A strategic initiative is to bring “the two markets together, elevating their creativity and bringing more simplicity to distributors across the globe,” the supplier firm said.
Hokanson has made a big impression at Goldstar since joining the firm in 2021 as a key account marketing coordinator. “Her extraordinary efforts in supporting the marketing needs for (our) national account base led to her promotion,” Goldstar said in a statement.
Rob Baumgardner is moving up too, elevating to the position of national accounts manager for North America. He takes over for Duggan following that promo pro’s promotion. Baumgardner’s focus will be on overseeing sales/managing relationships with national and key accounts.
Goldstar described Baumgardner as having a healthy mix of “southern charm and tenacity,” adding that “since joining the team in 2018, Rob has demonstrated an exceptional capacity for relationship management, corporate initiative execution and the growth of partnerships throughout his territory.”
Goldstar is part of Cimpress (asi/162149), a Top 40 distributor whose other companies include Vistaprint and former Top 40 firm National Pen. In addition to its California headquarters, Goldstar also has sales and manufacturing facilities in Tennessee, Mexico and Ireland.
