Top 40 supplier SanMar (asi/84863) announced that it has hired Mike Knapick as the company’s chief information officer. In this role, Knapick will manage and oversee major technology initiatives throughout the SanMar network as well as the day-to-day IT operations of the company.

“I’m excited to join SanMar and continue to build on the progress made by the great IT team here,” said Knapick, who most recently worked at EMC where he managed the IT department for the Isilon Storage division. “There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work underway that will enhance the total experience for our customers.”

Prior to his role at EMC, Knapick held a similar position with Expedia and he also has experience with large consulting firms. “Mike’s IT management background will benefit SanMar greatly as we continue to double down on technology tools and platforms,” said Jeremy Lott, president of SanMar. “Technology investments and enhancements remain a vital part of our future planning to better serve our customers and with Mike at the helm we can successfully deliver on our promises.”
