AmeriFoam (asi/42155), a Brooklyn, MI-based promotional products supplier, has acquired Elkhart, IN-based Quality Foam Designs (asi/80195), a manufacturer of polyurethane promo products. Announced Monday, Nov. 23, the deal’s financial terms were not released.

Executives said the deal has been in the works for months. The firms believe their regional proximity and alignment of business practices present great opportunity to grow sales and market share.

“This competitor buyout represents an incredible leap forward for our company,” said Lisa Bascom, owner/president of AmeriFoam.

AmeriFoam said the acquisition is part of an ongoing commitment to expand product offerings and manufacturing capabilities. The company could soon add more team members. “With the company’s growth, we should be able to hire more workers in 2021,” Bascom said.

In business for 35 years, AmeriFoam provides in-house design and manufacturing of polyurethane foam products for initiatives related to sports, marketing/sales, corporate promotions, entertainment and more.

The company operates from a 70,000-square-foot facility. Operations are consolidated with parent company Brooklyn Products International Inc. Manufacturing capabilities include thermal seal, saw and die cutting, adhesive and sew assembly, vacuum packing, and screen print.
