Phone Cases Raise Money for USPS
The collection from CASETiFY also includes AirPod cases, watch bands and a sweatshirt.
Suddenly, the U.S. Postal Service is an en vogue brand.
The latest evidence comes courtesy of a capsule collection of branded merchandise from the Postal Service and CASETiFY, a global Hong Kong-based designer and manufacturer of phone cases and electronic accessories.
CASETiFY’s collection features iPhone cases, AirPod cases, Apple Watch bands, grip stands, and a sweatshirt that bear Postal Service-themed graphics and logos. Products cost from $25 to $80. Each purchase directly supports the Postal Service.

The collection continues a trend that has seen everyone from fashion clothiers to news satire show host John Oliver of Last Week Tonight fame launching special product collections to help raise funds for the cash-strapped, under-pressure Postal Service. There’s also been a grassroots groundswell that’s encouraged people, especially millennials and Gen Zers, to buy branded merchandise directly from the Postal Service.
Encouraging the purchase of officially licensed branded merchandise gained steam as a cultural phenomenon in August in response to changes to the service implemented by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. “Conversations about delayed mail service heading into the 2020 presidential election and the agency’s financial viability sparked the want to provide monetary support through the purchase of postage stamps and even products in the USPS’ own gift shop,” Yahoo Life reported.
CASETiFY, which has done merch collabs with NASA, HEINZ Ketchup, and Hello Kitty, was eager to join the effort of supporting the Postal Service. A representative told Yahoo Life that the agency is integral to delivering CASETiFY products to customers, which made creating a U.S. Postal Service capsule a “full circle moment.”
“Customers have reacted excitedly to the collection, making it a point to let us know on social media that they’re proud to support USPS with official merch, as products tied to a message proves to be important to the CASETiFY community,” the representative says.

Celebrities were giving the collection some love, too. They included actress Zoey Deutch, who on Instagram shared a snap of her wearing a CASETiFY “USPS Fan Club” sweatshirt as she sent in her mail-in 2020 election ballot – a kind of homage to postal workers delivering millions of ballots this year.
