CounselorTop 40 distributor American Solutions for Business (ASB) (asi/120075) has announced two organizational changes to its leadership team. Justin Zavadil has been named executive vice president and Katie Hallstrom has been appointed as executive director.

Zavadil, the son of ASB’s founder and CEO Larry Zavadil, will now work with the individual senior leadership team officers and their departments on process and system improvements in the firm’s home office. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Zavadil has worked in a variety of roles over his years at ASB, including as a warehouse employee and a sales associate. Most recently, he held the title of vice president of ASB’s sales resource group. He was named to Counselor’s Power 50 list this year for the first time.

Hallstrom will now lead ASB’s human resource department and its associated team. A graduate of Southwest State University, Hallstrom joined ASB in the fall of 2011 with 30 years of HR experience. Hallstrom co-managed ASB’s HR team before being named as the department’s director.

In their new positions, Zavadil and Hallstrom will both serve on ASB’s senior leadership team, meeting with the company’s board of directors on an as-needed basis. Counselor ranks ASB as the 14th largest distributor in the industry, with 2013 North American ad specialty sales of $103.5 million.
