Stan Breckenridge, a long-time industry leader and a former PPAI Chairman of the Board, died yesterday at the age of 66. Breckenridge was currently chief marketing and sales officer for GuildLine (asi/43425) and had previously served as vice president of sales and marketing for both Sabina (asi/84470) and Moderne Glass Company Inc. (asi/71920).

Breckenridge headed PPAI’s board from 2008-2009 and was a board member from 2005-2010. The Beaver Falls, PA, resident was also a member of the Three Rivers Advertising Specialty Association hall of fame and had been recognized previously by the Society of Glass & Ceramic Decorators for writing an amendment to the Drug Regulatory Modernization Act of 1997.

"We are all terribly saddened by the passing of Stan Breckenridge and offer our deepest condolences to his wife Joyce, his family and friends,” said Paul Bellantone, president and CEO of PPAI. “He was a tireless advocate and volunteer for our industry, a powerful leader of our Board of Directors, a courageous fighter and loyal colleague and friend. Stan has left an indelible mark on PPAI and the industry he served and I know I speak for the association community when I say we miss his presence already."

In a Facebook post, Paul Kiewiet, a friend and the person who preceded Breckenridge as PPAI Chairman, said: “I'm saddened to hear of Stan's sudden passing last night. We had just texted each other on Monday as he was grieving the loss of the Spanish teacher who had been such a major influence in his life.”
