Mariposa, CA-based Lawson Studios has acquired Idea Print Work (asi/229438), a promotional products distributor with in-house screen printing and embroidery services that was established in 2000. Lawson Studios, a family-owned business founded in 2014 that specializes in graphic design, print design, photography and more, will officially take over Idea Print Work on October 25.

Lawson Studios’ acquisition allows the company to offer a broader array of solutions to clients. “We are excited for this opportunity,” said Lawson Studios Founder Heather Lawson, who credited Idea Print Work founder Victor Weitzel with building a “wonderful and successful company. We aim to continue to grow what Victor has started.”

As part of the acquisition, Weitzel will train the Lawson Studios team through November and remain available to consult by phone thereafter. Furthermore, the companies said, Idea Print Work employees will be staying on with Lawson Studios. This includes production manager Chenise Perry, who has been with Idea Print Work since 2005. “They will play an integral role in helping us to create a seamless transition,” said Kim Lawson, whose title at Lawson Studios is creator of opportunities, of the Idea Print Work team.

Idea Print Work has two locations in Oakhurst, CA, and Newport, OR.
