As first reported Wednesday in a Breaking News Alert, Top 40 distributor Proforma (asi/300094) has promoted Doug Kordel to the position of president, effective immediately. Previously, Kordel was the firm’s COO and general counsel. In his new role, Kordel will be responsible for leading Proforma’s management teams as well as spearheading the development of growth strategies.

Doug’s experience and dedication has been instrumental in achieving our system-wide sales growth and success as one of the largest distributors in the industry.”

A graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, Kordel joined Proforma in 2003 as its compliance officer and general counsel and has since served in various roles, including director of human resources, chief business development officer and chief strategic development officer. In 2013, Kordel was named the winner of Crain’s Cleveland Business magazine’s General & In-House Counsel Summit Award.
