Evans Manufacturing Donates 130,000 Masks

The Top 40 promo products supplier provided the PPE in the city of Nogales, Mexico, where it operates a manufacturing facility.

Evans Manufacturing (asi/52840) believes it’s important to make a positive difference in the communities where it operates.

That’s why the Garden Grove, CA-headquartered Top 40 promotional products supplier decided to donate 130,000 face masks to various institutions in Nogales, a city in Mexico where Evans operates a manufacturing plant.

Mask Donations

The masks, which when used properly help prevent the spread of COVID-19, went directly to benefit critical-need and nonprofit organizations around Nogales.

“Evans was looking to assist those who may be struggling to get quality personal protective equipment (PPE) products,” explained Evans CEO/Owner Alan Vaught. “The organizations of Nogales and the location of our Mexico plant presented the perfect opportunity to give back to the city that has always faithfully supported our facility. Our hearts are full knowing institutions like orphanages, homeless shelters, and essential city operations will benefit from our donation of face masks.”

Vaught and other leaders from Evans participated in a donation ceremony with officials from Nogales, including Mayor Jesus Pujol. The donation was welcomed and well-received.

“We are honored to accept the generous donation of face masks from Evans Manufacturing,” said Pujol. “These face masks will go to a variety of institutions that are in the most need, reinforcing the city of Nogales’ strategy to take affirmative action in preventing the spread of the coronavirus in our communities.”

Leaders Discuss PPE Options

Nogales Mayor Jesus Pujol, Evans Manufacturing CEO/Owner Alan Vaught and Adolfo Centeno, director of manufacturing for Evans, discuss the PPE donation.

Adolfo Centeno, director of manufacturing for Evans, said it’s important to support local communities where Evans operates in a significant way, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

“For being a relatively smaller manufacturing facility in the area, I’m proud that Evans could provide a large quantity of PPE face masks that will have such a positive impact with those in the most need of help,” Centeno said.

With reported 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $53 million, Evans ranked 32nd on Counselor’s latest list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
