The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an official recall for Disney-licensed “itty bittys,” baby plush stacking toys imported and sold by Hallmark Marketing Company LLC, of Kansas City, MO. The toys have fabric hats and bows that can detach, posing a choking hazard. Hallmark has received one report of a bow detaching, though no injuries have yet been reported.

The China-manufactured toys, which also have rattling rings, measure 10” by 7.5” by 9.5” and have a yellow fabric base stand with a post. The pieces feature Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, three of which feature a small hat or bow. The Hallmark logo and “itty bittys” are printed on a sewn-on tag attached to the base.

Approximately 5,800 toys were sold in the U.S. (and about 200 in Canada) at Hallmark Gold Crown stores and at hallmark.com and amazon.com from June 2016 through July 2017 for about $30. No ASI-listed companies were included in the recall.

Consumers are advised to take the toys away from children immediately, and to contact Hallmark to receive a prepaid shipping label for returning the toy along with a $40 Hallmark Gold Crown gift card.
