Top 40 distributor Positive Promotions (asi/297370) has purchased the assets of Quality Planners Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. “This acquisition will enable Positive Promotions Inc. to broaden its already extensive portfolio of educational products that we currently sell to our over 50,000 school customers throughout the United States,” said Nelson Taxel, CEO of Positive Promotions Inc.

Per the terms of the acquisition, Quality Planners’ management team will join Positive Promotions to help ensure a smooth transition and work toward future gains. The deal reportedly includes Quality Planners’ complete line of customization options and student planners, which the company offers for grade school children through college students.

“Our company’s significant expertise in developing products that promote learning, support student progress and inspire a positive school culture will be deployed into the enhancement of student planners,” Taxel said.

Counselor ranks New York-based Positive Promotions as the 24th largest distributor in the industry, after the firm reported 2016 North American promo product sales of $79 million. The e-commerce company’s sales have increased by 20% over the past five years.
