Former VP Pence’s Nephew Named CEO of Ace Specialties
John Pence, senior adviser to the Trump-Pence 2020 campaign, joins the promo distributorship known for being the prime merchandising partner for the former president.
John Pence, nephew of former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, is now the chief executive officer of promotional products distributorship Ace Specialties (asi/103553).
Christl Mahfouz, founder and chairwoman of the Lafayette, LA-based company, said the hiring signals plans for expansion by Ace, which came to prominence as the official vendor for President Donald Trump’s merchandise sales, including the famous red “Make America Great Again” hats. The partnership dates back to 2015.
“I am delighted to join Ace Specialties,” said Pence, who was the youngest senior adviser for the Trump-Pence 2020 campaign. “We provide the ‘Made in America’ tag to deliver the finest merchandise, goods and services for causes, candidates, musicians and companies everywhere.”
As Pence indicates, beyond working with various companies and political candidates, Ace Specialties is branching out to partner with end-clients that include influencers, musical artists and what the firm described as conservative-run businesses.
“President Trump helped put us on the map, and now that map is expanding for Ace Specialties as both political and non-political consumers increasingly value American-made merchandise, products and apparel,” said Mahfouz.
Pence received a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, an M.B.A. in Management and Finance from New York University Stern School of Business, and a B.A. from The College of William & Mary. Pence brings what Mahfouz described as extensive experience in political and business consultancy to Ace Specialties.
