Vantage Apparel Partners With Berne Apparel
The Top 40 supplier will offer workwear from the century-old brand.
Top 40 supplier Vantage Apparel (asi/93390) has partnered with workwear brand Berne Apparel (asi/40260) to offer several of its styles to the industry.
“The addition of Berne workwear brings an array of high-quality styles to the forefront, catering to various uniform preferences and outerwear needs,” said Ira Neaman, president of Vantage Apparel and a member of the Counselor Power 50. “We’re starting off with styles that are most popular for outdoor workers, but there’s also a fashion component that broadens the audience.”
Neaman added that workwear has been a trend with younger buyers for the last few years, and Berne’s lineup meets that demand handily.
The first rollout includes four of Berne’s best-selling outerwear styles. The Berne Heritage duck hooded active jacket (BERNHJ51) features a water-repellent finish and insulated hood. The Berne Heartland washed duck hooded work jacket (BERNHJ375) is designed for heavy-duty use with durability in mind. The Berne Heritage duck chore coat (BERNCH416) has a water-repellent finish and hidden knit storm cuffs. The Berne Heritage thermal-lined full-zip hooded sweatshirt (BERNSZ101) has a double-layered hood.
Vantage Apparel noted that clients can expect seamless customization options for the new workwear styles, including embroidery, patches and laser etching.
Berne Apparel has been creating workwear since 1915. Originally known as the Berne Overall & Shirt Co., it was founded in the small community of Berne, IN. The inspiration behind its logo stems from the iconic bear in the Swiss coat of arms, according to the company website.
Avenel, NJ-headquartered Vantage Apparel has been in the promotional products industry for more than 40 years. With over 1,200 embroidery heads, the supplier says it’s the largest apparel decorator in North America. In addition to its new Berne workwear collection, Vantage offers a range of retail brands, including Gap, Old Navy, Greg Norman Collection, Polo Ralph Lauren and Van Heusen. It also has proprietary labels Vansport and Vantage.
Vantage Apparel ranks 39th on Counselor’s Top 40 list of the largest industry suppliers, with 2022 North American promotional products revenue of $49 million.
