Discount Labels (asi/49890) has merged with Lancer Label (asi/66220), finalizing a strategic partnership that the companies began in May. The combined suppliers will continue operations under the Discount Label name at Lancer Label’s location in Omaha, NE, and Discount Label’s facility in New Albany, IN. The merger makes Discount Labels one of North America’s largest digital custom label printers.

“Our customers are excited by our enhanced capabilities, streamlined customer service and expanded footprint,” said Eric Lanz, senior vice president of Discount Labels. “We’re going to build on this excitement to bring customers the best of both brands, and a whole lot more.”

Discount Labels will provide digital, high-quality prime and specialty labels in short, medium and long runs, as well as rubber stamps and promotional products. The companies had common ownership before the merger agreement, and Discount Labels confirmed with Counselor that the management team will remain in place.

Andrew Turner, vice president of customer service, said the company will be offering customer service improvements, including investments in its workflow infrastructure, phone system, a new website and more. “This merger gives us strong winds in our sails,” he said. “Our newly combined teams are very excited to bring more value and service to our customers than ever before.”
