The Bright Side: Terry Town Raises Nearly $15,000 for Charity
The San Diego, CA-based promo products supplier donated a portion of sales of a popular blanket to Fred Finch Youth and Family Services.
Commerce with a conscience informed a recent campaign from Terry Town (asi/90913) that raised nearly $15,000 for charity.
Starting in September 2021, the San Diego, CA-based promotional products supplier launched Kindly, a program that pledged to give 3% of the proceeds from sales of the company’s Kindly Blanket (DP2703 Vanilla Cookie Chenille Blanket) during the fourth quarter to Fred Finch Youth and Family Services.
The blanket is one of Terry Town’s most popular, and as word of the worthy cause tied to it spread, sales accelerated into overdrive.
Ultimately, the charitable goal of $5,000 was nearly tripled, as Terry Town generated $14,748.86 for Fred Finch, which provides counseling, residential programs and other supports for young people who have endured trauma, mental illness, poverty and other issues.
“The goal of Kindly is simply to spread kindness any way that we can,” said Alp Ereren, Terry Town content manager. “It was amazing to see our distributor partners on board and excited to share the story of Fred Finch and the Kindly program with their clients. We hope to continue this collaboration with Fred Finch and other organizations in our community.”
Esmeralda Anaya, Terry Town’s marketing manager, spearheaded the Kindly program. “We wanted to launch a program that allowed us to form a stronger connection with our local communities,” Anaya explained. “The mission of Fred Finch was one that resonated with our company. We felt it was the perfect partnership to begin our community outreach journey.”
Terry Town specializes in sales of towels, blankets, robes and accessories for home, fitness and travel to the promo products industry.
