Flywheel Brands Acquires 127 Press

Distributor Flywheel Brands (asi/212986) of Hixson, TN, has acquired silkscreen print firm 127 Press, the companies have announced. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.

Chattanooga-based 127 Press has offered custom apparel and promotional products since 2011. Meanwhile Flywheel Brands provides creative and digital marketing, print services, promotional products and custom apparel. All business operations will now be located in Flywheel's Hixson offices, Flywheel's director of marketing Erica Lee told Counselor.

“127 Press was seeking a like-minded organization with the capacity to support their clients' needs,” Lee told Counselor. “In our mission to add momentum behind the marketing of today's brands, Flywheel found this growth opportunity to be beneficial for all parties involved. Because these clients are mostly rooted in our hometown of Chattanooga, it was only natural that we would want to support the needs of our neighbors.” Lee added that all former 127 Press customers have been assigned a designated client development specialist at Flywheel.

“It’s been a privilege to serve our customers since day one,” said Casey Whitaker, founder of 127 Press, in a statement. “The purpose of our company was to help our customers realize their ideas and dreams in print. We’re confident that the Flywheel Brands team has the capability and capacity to fulfill these needs for the savvy business professionals and leaders of Chattanooga.”

Bart Simpson, vice president of client development at Flywheel Brands, said clients of 127 Press will continue to benefit from the high-quality products they’re used to, plus individual brand solutions tailored to their needs.

“There’s a difference between selling and serving,” Simpson said. “Our clients have the dream, desire and drive. Our job is to create momentum behind their brand to reach their goals. In the end, they become the hero of their story.”
