Lands’ End Raises Funds for Cancer Research
Apparel brand Lands’ End, parent company of Lands’ End Business Outfitters (asi/250566), is raising awareness and funding for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in October through its annual Pink Thread Project.
Through October 31, for every pink monogram or embroidery added to Lands’ End apparel, accessories or home goods, the company will donate $4.50 to BCRF. Supporters can take part by ordering online at landsend.com.
“This impactful campaign proves that a little pink truly does a lot of good, and together with our customers we look forward to helping make a difference,” says Joe Boitano, co-interim CEO.
Throughout October, Lands’ End will also donate a portion of sales from select pink products available in stores and online. Lands’ End is giving businesses and organizations a way to raise funds for BCRF, as well. Lands’ End Business Outfitters will feature a curated collection of 21 pink products offered as part of the Pink Thread Project, with 5% of the net retail purchase price benefitting BCRF.
BCRF is dedicated to ending breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. “Our goal is to accelerate the breakthroughs bringing us closer to a cure and to speed up the progress that will improve survivorship and quality of life for breast cancer patients today,” says Myra J. Biblowit, president and CEO of BCRF. “But that research relies on us all – by uniting with the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the country, Lands’ End will undoubtedly propel research forward, faster.”
