Promo Products Case Study: Porsche North America

A Tennessee-based distributor leveraged a proprietary Proforma (asi/300094) tech platform and more to win a seven-figure deal.

Proforma Petty Marketing (asi/300094) has a history of earning big promo contracts. A couple years ago, for instance, the Cleveland, TN-based distributor landed a three-year, $6 million contract with a $6 billion healthcare provider.

Now, Owner Ralph Petty and his talented team are at it again, announcing this week that they have garnered a two-year, multi-million dollar deal with Porsche North America. Per terms, Petty Marketing will be the sole provider of promotional products for Porsche’s “New Owner Car Kits.”

According to Petty, the success resulted, in part, from key support from Proforma’s Major Accounts Team and Vendor Development Team. The groups played important roles in showcasing Proforma’s ProStores platform, a proprietary online storefront for Proforma owners, and the distributor’s network of vendors that provide high-end product options and advanced solutions. Ultimately, Porsche North America signed on for a ProStore – the 600th such online storefront to launch within the Proforma network since 2016.

With the support of the Proforma family and their partners, I’m able to position myself as a full service marketing agency, giving me a competitive advantage in winning high-profile accounts and extensive ecommerce projects,” Petty said in a statement.

Proforma, the fourth largest distributor in the promo industry by revenue, says that its ProStores solutions have generated more than $40 million in sales over the last couple years. The stores serve as an ecommerce platform that integrates into client websites, while offering mobile responsiveness and detailed reporting. “Proforma’s ProStores platform is instrumental in helping owners present ecommerce solutions to potential clients looking to combine the best functionality of both traditional print and promo-specific websites,” said Greg Muzzillo, founder of Proforma.

Interestingly, Proforma Petty Marketing leveraged Proforma technology capabilities to score the $6 million contract with the healthcare provider, too. At the time of the deal, Petty related that his firm and Proforma partnered to develop an ecommerce site to accommodate the client’s needs while staying within HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Petty also incorporated cutting-edge privacy encryption methods to ensure complete security. “Proforma’s immeasurable resources have made it possible for my company to offer innovative online solutions that will serve our vast portfolio of clients,” Petty said.
