Q&A: Rymax Owner Discusses Incentives Market, Technology
Rymax Inc., a New Jersey-based provider of incentives and rewards programs and the parent company of Brainstorm Logistics (asi/41515), recently announced that ownership of the company has been transferred to President Eve Kolakowski. We spoke with Eve about her vision for the future and how Rymax will stay competitive in the marketplace.
Q: What has your career path looked like up to this point?
Eve Kolakowski: In 2008, I was appointed as the chief operating officer of Rymax, which meant managing the day-to-day operations as well as growing the business. My focus was on sales, business development, inventory management, bicoastal logistics, merchandise fulfillment and the overall operations of the company. I became the president in 2018.
Q: How will Rymax remain competitive in the incentives space?
EK: Today, Rymax offers an unparalleled rewards portfolio of over 15,000 products from more than 400 brands. Our inventory assortment is curated based on each client’s individual business needs. The loyalty and satisfaction of those clients is the number-one driver of our massive growth within the incentive space. Rymax’s continued focus on providing best-in-class loyalty marketing solutions will allow us to maintain our position as the prominent player in the industry.
Q: What’s your vision for Rymax moving forward?
EK: I have one vision for the company and its loyal partners: growth!
Q: What role does technology play in your company?
EK: Heading into 2020, enterprises in all industries will be leveraging technology more than ever to accomplish the simple tasks at hand, as well as scaling their businesses for the future. We’ve partnered with brands such as Google, Nest, Apple and Amazon to do the same thing at Rymax. These innovators have brought technological advancements to distribution companies at a marginal expense. Think about it – no one could have imagined 15 years ago that a warehouse management system could be run by an iPhone.
Q: What’s the significance of being a woman-owned business?
EK: Rymax has an abundance of talent within the organization, both male and female. It’s taken a village to grow the company to its current size. I believe that being a woman-owned business will bring additional positive attention to the organization and the talented colleagues that help me steer the business on a daily basis.
