Steve Pons is poised to make his mark again.

The Canadian promo industry veteran has been appointed CEO of McCabe Promotional Advertising (asi/264901), a London, ON-based certified B Corp.

Pons spent eight years at Staples Promotional Products Canada, part of Counselor Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601). He was also instrumental in the growth of Accolade Promotion Group, where he was vice president of national sales before the company’s purchase by Golf Town Canada in 2007, followed by an acquisition by U.S.-based Staples Inc. in 2015.

The appointment is part of the company’s longer-term growth strategy through investment in a number of areas, including technology, marketing, career opportunities and talent acquisition.

McCabe Promotional Advertising was Counselor’s 2019 Distributor Family Business of the Year and announced in early 2020 that it had earned the B Corp certification. The company has a head office in London, with additional offices in Ottawa and Toronto.
