Joyce Anglin is the definition of a “lifer.”

On Feb. 19, the material handler at IMAGEN Brands (asi/93990) in Doniphan, MO, celebrated six decades of employment with the promotional products supplier. “I still can’t believe it’s been 60 years that I’ve worked at one place,” she said. “It’s been so good to be able to work with friends. They’ve become my family.”

After graduating from high school in 1961, Anglin moved to St. Louis to help her sister take care of her children. The following year, she took a job with Vitronic (which eventually joined with Crown in 2016 to form IMAGEN).

“When I was hired, I was never informed what department I would work in,” said Anglin. “They just asked if I wanted to work.”

Anglin started in Packing, then moved to Order Entry for 10 years. Over the next 50 years, she spent time in almost every department at the company. For the past 35, she’s worked in the warehouse; as material handler, she cycle-counts the entire facility to keep track of inventory.

“My favorite part of working is to do my best in everything that is asked of me,” she said. “I also enjoy meeting new people to help them do their job. I encourage all new employees to always do their best in everything they do.”

To celebrate Anglin’s anniversary, colleagues recently hosted a party in her honor at the company’s headquarters. She said loyalty, hard work and teamwork have contributed to her longevity at the company.

“It takes teamwork from every one of us to see that the order gets done, and I’ve got great leaders and friends who help me each day,” she said. “I’m so thankful that each time the company has been sold, I’ve been allowed to stay and remain working. I love working; it’s been my home away from home. I’ve made so many friends.”

Formerly a Top 40 supplier firm, IMAGEN Brands was acquired by Clearwater, FL-based Top 40 supplier Koozie Group (asi/40480) in 2020. In August 2021, IMAGEN announced that it would be partnering with Toddy Gear (asi/91411), a Chicago-based supplier of microfiber cloths, phone stands and charging stands.
