Chicago-based Printable (asi/299458) has purchased Cleveland-headquartered Race Ahead Promotions’ book of business. Financial details of the transaction were not released.

Beth Eaton, owner of Race Ahead, is retiring from the industry. Over the past few weeks, she’s spent time contacting clients one-on-one to introduce them to the executive team at Printable and has visited Printable’s offices to facilitate the transition. She’ll stay on in an as-needed advisory role. The rest of the staff at Race Ahead will be pursuing other career opportunities.

“I’ve always been impressed with Beth’s professionalism, intellect and business savvy, not only about the promo space but also the world of finance and banking where she spent many years of her career,” said Mitch Silver, vice president of sales and marketing at Printable, who met Eaton through the PromoKitchen network in 2018. “And now, doing transition calls, it’s obvious to me how much her clients love working with her and her team.”

Eaton said that Printable’s capabilities in fulfillment, international shipping, custom gifting, e-commerce and print-on-demand are a boon for her customers. “I’m incredibly excited for them to work with the Printable team, which has an amazing track record of working collaboratively with clients in a wide range of industries,” she said. “In addition to their technical expertise, every member of Printable cares about helping their customers flourish. It’s the type of promotional agency that can be a game-changer for these clients.”

Printable celebrated its 30th anniversary on April 16 and has been named to Counselor’s list of the industry’s Best Places to Work multiple times. Race Ahead was founded in 2016, with offices in Cleveland and Franklin, TN.
