JournalBooks Celebrates 50 Years
The supplier is known for its custom paper products.
JournalBooks, the Charlotte, NC-based custom journal, planner and notebook supplier and part of Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/78897), is celebrating 50 years in the industry.
Established as Timeplanner Calendars in 1971, the company expanded over the years by founder Jerome O’Boyle’s sons: Jim, Tom, Larry, Joe, Tim and Patrick. It was acquired by PCNA in 2007 and has been a consistent winner in Counselor’s Distributor Choice Awards.
New Kensington, PA-based PCNA offers JournalBooks’ inline notebook and planner styles, which can be included in PCNA’s Perfectly Packaged drop-shipping and fulfillment service, and distributors can also order custom products directly from JournalBooks’ facility in Charlotte.
“At JournalBooks today, we still believe that our wide array of U.S.-made paper products helps build brands and deliver an end-customer’s message,” said President Tim O’Boyle, in a statement. “We have always been a solutions-driven company, and since launching our JournalBooks line in the mid-1990s, it has given us a much wider platform to create unique custom products for our customers.”
O’Boyle added that special product offers in honor of the company’s anniversary are in the works. “We certainly want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all the customers who’ve made this milestone possible,” he said. “Along with our amazing employees, of course, our customers are the ones who’ve made 50 years possible.”
With 2020 revenue of $512.3 million, PCNA ranked fourth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
