With the purchase, Apt, France-based Delta Plus Group, which currently works in more than 30 countries, will expand its presence in the U.S. market. Meanwhile, ERB management plans to grow its product line with Delta Plus offerings.

“This acquisition is the perfect complement to earlier acquisitions in the U.S.,” said Jérôme Benoit, president and CEO of Delta Plus Group, in a statement. “The addition of ERB Industries to our portfolio will strengthen our relevance and value position for customers. We are impressed by the high-quality standards of ERB Industries, and we look forward to working with Sheila Eads and her team to accelerate the development of the combined ERB/Delta Plus offering and to take an exciting new step forward in fulfilling our vision of becoming a leader in the U.S. market for personal protective equipment.”

ERB Industries has manufactured safety equipment and supplies for clients in North and South America for more than 60 years. The company relocated to Woodstock in 1972, offering manufacturing jobs to local communities in Georgia. To that end, Delta Plus intends to maintain ERB’s location in Woodstock.

“The Delta Plus values of entrepreneurship, family and curiosity parallel those of ERB Industries,” said ERB CEO Eads, in a statement. “We are very excited to increase the value to our customers by broadening our current product offering through the strength of the Delta Plus brand and to build on the successes of both businesses together for many years to come.”

In a conversation with ASI, Eads said the ERB management team and employees will remain in Woodstock and will continue to operate as ERB Industries for the time being as the two companies work on a brand integration strategy. Now, Eads is taking a look at the diverse Delta Plus product line to determine where best to expand ERB’s offerings.

“We’ll certainly expand our glove offering, and we’re considering their fall protection line,” she said. “There’s still much work to do as we get past the acquisition stage and move on to enrich the ERB product offering to our customers.”
