Storm Creek Donates More than $50K to Charity in Q4
Recipients included the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Ronald McDonald House.
Storm Creek (asi/89879) in Eagan, MN, has announced that it donated over $51,500 in the fourth quarter of 2020, exceeding its annual contribution goal for the third consecutive year.
As part of its ongoing Wear For Better charitable efforts, the apparel supplier donated to The American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House, Save the Boundary Waters, Secondhand Hounds, Tee It Up for the Troops and more. The company’s eighth annual warehouse sale also raised $37,000 for charity.
“Giving back is woven into the fabric of who we are,” said CEO Teresa Fudenberg in a statement. “This year, more than ever, charities struggled for much-needed contributions to serve those in need. To have reached this level of support is truly humbling.”
Storm Creek established two charitable initiatives during the early days of the pandemic. The company raised $7,500 from its Work From Home collection, in which 10% of sales were pledged to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. ASI matched the donation for a total of $15,000 donated. In addition, as part of the “Wear For Better” buy-one-give-one campaign, customers purchased a special edition “Together We Fight” pullover and donated one to an essential worker. Storm Creek sent garments to 34 states and Washington, D.C.
The company also regularly makes in-kind product donations to local and national emergency assistance programs, including $25,000 worth of product in November and December alone. And as part of its membership in 1% for the Planet, 1% of eco-made product sales support environmental programs. By the end of 2021, every item in its product line will include recycled materials and components, according to Storm Creek.
