PCNA Partners With Moop
The small-batch bag brand is located in nearby Pittsburgh, PA.
Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/78897) in New Kensington, PA, has announced a new partnership with Moop, a small-batch bag manufacturer based in Pittsburgh. PCNA will be the exclusive supplier of Moop to the promotional products industry.
“We’re really excited to be partnering with Moop, a female-owned and locally based small business, which is a combination not commonly found in the promotional products market,” said Isaac Ward, category manager for PCNA, in a statement. “Small business has been disproportionally affected as a result of the pandemic, and it’s important that local communities rally around these small businesses to help in whatever way they can. Not only can we provide our customers with a meaningful gift idea, but also do our part to help our own community in the process, and that’s what makes this partnership truly special.”
Moop bags are designed and manufactured in a studio in downtown Pittsburgh, about 20 miles from PCNA’s headquarters. Currently, PCNA offers four tote bags to the promo market – Stanwix, Carson, Grandview and Porter – all available with decoration for clients in both the U.S. and Canada. The bags are now available at pcna.com.
Moop owner Wendy Downs said in a statement that her company has been designing and producing bags for 14 years and has been able to provide quality employment in Pittsburgh. “We are so excited to bring our small-batch, local manufacturing ethics to the promotional products industry,” she said. “We know that PCNA will represent our product well and look forward to exposing our brand to a broader audience as a result of this partnership.”
With 2019 North American promotional products sales of $818 million, PCNA ranks fourth on Counselor’s most recent list of the 40 largest suppliers in the industry.
