Writing instruments supplier Goldstar (asi/73295) in San Diego has announced three executive promotions, in an effort to continue expanding the company’s global presence.

Kenny Ved, director of global sales; Parker Melvin, sales manager for North America; Colin Loughran, global director of operations and merchandising

Kenny Ved, an employee of Goldstar for more than 20 years, has been promoted to director of global sales. In his new role, Ved will be responsible for leading Goldstar’s global sales team.

In addition, Parker Melvin, formerly the Midwest regional sales manager, is now the sales manager for North America and will lead sales efforts in the U.S. and Canada. Melvin has been with Goldstar since 2017.

Finally, Colin Loughran has been named the global director of operations and merchandising. He’ll be responsible for global merchandising, compliance, logistics, operations, systems and technology, and customer care across the organization. Loughran has played key roles in the company’s European operations since 2013.

I look forward to seeing him expand to our European markets and combine our resources into one effective team. Parker is a natural fit to lead our North America sales team to continued success and no doubt will drive growth. Colin is an experienced leader within Goldstar who will drive new ideas and efficiencies for our merchandising and operations globally.”

A perennial winner in the Counselor Distributor Choice Awards for writing instruments, Goldstar was named a preferred supplier this year for Facilisgroup as well as a member of the AIM Smarter Diversity Council. In addition to its California headquarters, the company also has sales and manufacturing facilities in in Tennessee, Mexico and Ireland.
