McCabe Promotional Advertising (asi/264901) a certified B Corp in London, ON, has acquired distributorship Daquin Sales. The full-service promotional products company, based in Ottawa and established in 1982, offers in-house silkscreen and embroidery capabilities. Financial details of the acquisition were not made public.

Moving forward, Daquin Sales owner Mike Depuis will retire once the transition is complete, while fellow owner Randy Goyette will be a manager and hold a sales role in the newly integrated firms.

“I feel lucky to add the team that makes up Daquin to our existing roster,” said President Jamie McCabe. “They are absolutely amazing people, and I’m confident the best is yet to come.”

In 2015, McCabe Promotional Advertising acquired Promomedia Group, which expanded the company’s presence into both the Ottawa National Capital Region and Quebec markets. McCabe was named Counselor’s 2019 Distributor Family Business of the Year and earned its B Corp certification in January 2020.

“Certification cannot and will not be achieved with only a few key players invested in the process,” McCabe said in a report this week on the rise of B Corps in the promo industry. “It takes commitment and dedication from every team member to realize a real impact.”
