PowerStick.com Plants 10,000 Trees in North America
The Ottawa-based tech product supplier partnered with reforestation nonprofit One Tree Planted a year ago.
PowerStick.com (asi/51566), a supplier of tech accessories based in Ottawa, has planted 10,000 trees across North America since it officially partnered with reforestation nonprofit One Tree Planted.
Over the past year, PowerStick.com, which was also named a 2022 Counselor Best Place to Work, has planted one tree for every order received, resulting in new growth in New Brunswick, Ontario, British Columbia, California, Idaho and Oregon, as well as across Appalachia and Mexico.
“It’s rewarding to know that PowerStick has a part in a program that makes such a huge impact on our planet, and I’m grateful to our distributor clients who have made our donations possible,” said PowerStick.com CEO Nigel Harris. “We’ve heard from distributors how valuable this program is to them and their clients.”
Harris added that distributors have recently asked for educational flyers on the program to share with end-buyers. One end-client recently requested custom informational cards to be included in a kitted order.
Vermont-based One Tree Planted has more than 260 planting partners like PowerStick.com and works to restore forest growth after natural disasters, which in turn improves wildlife habitats and creates job opportunities. The organization has planted over 40 million trees in nearly 50 countries since it was founded eight years ago.
In recent months, several other promo suppliers have discussed their partnerships with One Tree Planted. NYC-based Threadfast Apparel (asi/91163) has reforested more than 46,100 trees since last year alongside the organization, and Top 40 supplier PCNA (asi/78897) in New Kensington, PA, donates a portion of eco-product sales to both One Tree Planted and Well Aware, which builds clean water systems in Africa.
