Starline Partners With Frost Buddy
The Grand Island, NY-based supplier will be selling the retail brand’s universal insulators for beverage containers in the promo products market.
And the retail brand partnerships keep on coming.
Starline (asi/89320), a large, Grand Island, NY-based promotional products supplier that focuses on hard goods, has partnered with retail drinkware brand Frost Buddy.
Founded by brothers Mitch and Brock Mammoser in 2020, Frost Buddy provides universal insulators for drinkware containers like cans and bottles.
“Today in corporate America, where the quality of a product is sought above all else, we’ve found an amazing partner in Frost Buddy,” said Brian Porter, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Frost Buddy was a hit soon after debuting. Within four months, it rose to the number-three spot in the “thermocoolers” category on online marketplace Amazon. Since launching, Frost Buddy has expanded to include insulators that can accommodate wine bottles and dog bowls. A variety of Frost Buddy styles are available from Starline.
The Mammosers got the idea for a beverage container insulator that would fit nearly all shapes and sizes after realizing that “people were buying three to four insulators to accommodate” the various different shapes of containers on the market, according to Starline.
“Mitch and Brock have built a proven, high-quality retail line with sleek design and, most importantly, functionality, that fits right in with Starline’s core values,” said Porter. “Frost Buddy is an outstanding addition to our current stable of brand partners.”
Beyond drinkware, Starline’s product portfolio includes everything from writing instruments and electronics to bags, tools, safety products and more. The firm was a Top 40 supplier as recently as 2018. Chief Operating Officer Jon Norris ranks 20th on Counselor’s Power 50 list of the promo products industry’s most influential people.
Partnerships that involve industry suppliers linking up with retail brands and then selling their consumer goods in the promo marketplace have been proliferating. Recently, for instance, Top 40 supplier Vantage Apparel (asi/93390) announced partnerships with Gap and Old Navy, while fellow Top 40 firm Logomark (asi/67866) began selling Eddie Bauer drinkware in the promo space. Leading promo executives believe that the influx of retail brands into the merch market will continue and intensify.
