Origaudio Celebrating 10-Year Anniversary with $10K Product Giveaway
Distributor customers can enter to win the freebies through Aug. 21st.
Soaring revenue, numerous product design awards, Counselor’s Supplier Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017 – even a holler from Time magazine for creating one of the 50 best inventions of 2009.
All that’s just a sampling of the runaway success California-based promotional products supplier Origaudio (asi/75254) has experienced in its 10 years of existence. What some might find as impressive is that co-founders Jason Lucash and Mike Szymczak haven’t let the accolades swell their heads. The down-to-earth duo and their team know that it’s their customers that have propelled Origaudio’s ascent.
And for that, Origaudio is celebrating its 10-year anniversary not with self-congratulation, but by saying thank you to distributors with “ten absurd efforts of gratitude” that include wild experiences and discounts between now and next Friday Aug. 23 -- when things culminate with a giveaway of $10,000 worth of products, said Lucash. Interested? Good news then, because Origaudio customers can enter for the $10K giveaway by emailing their most creative response to the question, “How does Origaudio make you feel?” to day10@origaudio.com. Responses are being accepted through Aug. 21.
“We didn’t want to make our anniversary about us,” said Lucash. “We thought, ‘What’s the wildest way to say thank you to our customers?’ From there we let the creativity flow.”
In addition to the five-figure product giveaway, the outside-the-box acts of gratitude include: Putting up a billboard for a customer in the company’s home town; throwing a surprise puppy party at a distributor’s office; and having a 20-foot-long sandwich randomly delivered to a distributor for the lunch hour. “Our ‘10 Days of Origaudio’ was initially deployed as an online quiz to attain relevant data from our customer base,” Lucash said. “The Origaudio marketing team then created experiences for distributors based on their responses, such as musical preferences, graphic design needs, paid advertising opportunities and more.”
Origaudio’s gamut of products includes technology specialties like speakers, power banks, wireless headphones, and trendy bags/backpacks. In September, Top 40 supplier HUB Promotional Group (asi/61966) acquired Origaudio, with Lucash becoming a HUB board member and senior vice president of marketing and product. Szymczak assumed the added responsibility of vice president of business development for HUB. Both remain active in their Origaudio roles, too. “HUB provides (Origaudio) with a powerful North American distribution network that expands our reach and delivery capabilities,” Lucash said at the time. “Myself, Mike and the rest of the Origaudio team are thrilled to gain a partner that shares our values and is committed to new and innovative ways of doing business.”
