ASB Donates to Local Families in Need

The Top 40 distributor raised $12,000 for essentials such as household products, clothes and toys.

A Top 40 distributor spread the holiday cheer again this year.

Sales associates and home-office employees at American Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075) raised $12,000 to buy necessities for families in need in Pope County, MN, home of ASB, through its annual Adopt-A-Family fundraiser. This year marks a new record for donations, last set in 2019 at $7,000. ASB has participated in the holiday effort for the past 20 years.

Last month, company leadership at the Glenwood, MN-based distributor reached out to county officials for more information about specific needs among local families. While keeping personal information anonymous, ASB participants received Christmas lists and went shopping for essentials such as toys, household items, hygiene products, clothing and Visa gift cards for additional needs.

ASB team members also bought various types of garments.

“It’s was a huge undertaking for us this year,” said Jamie Lanoue, ASB’s talent acquisition specialist, in a statement. “We received information for eight families, including 21 kids. We were able to get everything on their Christmas lists, plus a few extras. We had a lot of hands helping to make the process possible this year, and we are grateful.”

ASB ranks eighth in the North American promotional products industry. CEO Larry Zavadil and President Justin Zavadil co-ranked 10th on Counselor’s most recent Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people.
